O Papa Eugênio IV (Veneza, 1383 — Roma, 23 de fevereiro de 1447), nascido Gabriele Condulmer, foi Papa de 3 de março de 1431 até à data da sua morte.

- "Decretamos e ordenamos que, de agora em diante, e para sempre, os cristãos não comerão nem beberão com os judeus; nem os admitirão em festas, nem coabitarão com eles, nem banhar-se-ão com eles. Os cristãos não devem permitir que os judeus detenham honras civis sobre os cristãos ou exerçam cargos públicos no Estado. Os judeus não podem ser mercadores, cobradores de impostos ou agentes na compra e venda de produtos e bens dos cristãos, nem seus procuradores, contadores ou advogados em questões matrimoniais, nem obstetras; nem podem ter associação ou parceria com cristãos. Nenhum cristão pode deixar ou legar coisa alguma segundo seu último desejo e em seu testamento aos judeus ou a suas congregações. Os judeus estão proibidos de erguer novas sinagogas. Estão obrigados a pagar anualmente a décima parte de seus bens e posses. Contra eles os cristãos podem testemunhar, mas o testemunho de judeus contra cristãos não tem valor em caso algum. Todo e qualquer judeu, de qualquer sexo e idade, deve, em todos os lugares, usar roupas distintas e marcas conhecidas pelas quais possam ser incontestavelmente distinguidos dos cristãos. Não podem viver entre os cristãos, mas em uma rua determinada, separados e segregados dos cristãos, e fora da qual não podem ter casas, sob hipótese alguma".

Christians shall not allow Jews to hold civil honors over Christians, or to exercise public offices in the State. Jews cannot be merchants, Tax Collectors, or agents in the buying and selling of the produce and goods of Christians, nor their Procurators, Computers or Lawyers in matrimonial matters, nor Obstetricians; nor can they have association or partnership with Christians. No Christian can leave or bequeath anything in his last Will and Testament to Jews or their congregations. Jews are prohibited from erecting new synagogues. They are obliged to pay annually a tenth part of their goods and holdings. Against them Christians can testify, but the testimony of Jews against Christians in no case is of any value. All and every single Jew, of whatever sex and age, must everywhere wear the distinct dress and known marks by which they can be evidently distinguished from Christians. They cannot live among Christians, but in a certain street, separated and segregated from Christians, and outside which they cannot under any pretext have houses.
